#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations I always buy washi tape and then I never can figure out how to use it. I don’t feel like I’m very creative when using washi tape–I just kind of use it to hold down corners of a layer. But today’s card is a fabulously creative way to use washi tape. I received this card as one of the black and white swap cards at a Stampin’ Up event last November. It was created by Glenda Timkovich and it’s awesome!!
Glenda started with a 3″ by 4-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock and wrapped several strips of Pick a Pattern Washi Tape around it. The good news is that this wonderful washi tape will be carrying over to the new catalog. However, the bad news is that the sentiment Glenda used from the retiring “One Big Meaning” stamp set. She masked part of the sentiment (or performed “stamp surgery”) on one of the stamps and stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink* onto a Whisper White strip. Glenda adhered this strip to the washi tape panel.
The washi tape panel is adhered to the card with Foam Adhesive Strips onto a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Basic Black mat and then onto a Whisper White Card Stock card base.
Isn’t this card stunning? I love it! Remember, retiring stamp
sets will only be guaranteed to be available until May 25. All other
products are NOT guaranteed and are only available while supplies last.
ALL retiring items will be discontinued after May 31.
*The
archival inks are retiring, but there will still be Memento Tuxedo
Black and StazOn Jet Black in the upcoming catalog, along with a Classic
Basic Gray Ink.
