#stampinup #creationstation #creationstationbloghop #faithfulinkspirations Can it be spring already? It seems like just a couple of weeks ago we were blanketed with snow. What’s that? It was a couple of weeks ago?! Crazy Maryland weather!
Well, with the advent of spring, comes a riot of spring time colors, so during this round of the Creation Station blog hop, we’re having a garden party! Before I get on to my creations, I want to let you know that we have TWO new design team members: Tanya Bell from Australia and Amber Trubiak from Canada. Our Creation Station design team is truly international!! Welcome, Tanya and Amber.
When I started thinking about my projects, the first thing that came to mind was a spring time tea party. I whipped up this place setting super quickly using the “Daisy Delight” stamp set and matching Daisy Punch.
I found a cupcake wrapper template online and used some of the beautiful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to wrap my cupcake. That set the color scheme–Night of Navy and Whisper White with a pop of Berry Burst. The napkin wrap was super easy to make. After I stamped and punched my daisies, I ran a length of Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon through the centers and then wrapped them around a place setting.
I made a simple place card by cutting a piece of Thick Whisper White Card Stock to 3″ by 6″, folding it in half, and scoring the edges with the Simply Scored Board. I added a daisy to the place card so it coordinated with everything else in the place setting.
I added a daisy pick to the top of the cupcake, too. Such a fun and quick setting for a spring time tea party!
Next, I made a card that is inspired by some wood decor pieces I saw on Pinterest. This card will make a great wedding card (and I have a couple in mind) and it was easy to make, too!
I stamped a sentiment from the “Colorful Seasons” stamp set in Versamark onto a 3-3/4″ by 5″ piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I sprinkled on White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I adhered this to a 3-7/8″ by 5-1/8″ Early Espresso Card Stock mat and wrapped it with a length of Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon before adhering it to a Thick Very Vanilla Card Stock card base.
Next, I used one of the Layering Circles Framelits to draw a circle around the sentiment–you could use any circle. I stamped the three flowers from the “Colorful Seasons” stamp set in Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Fresh Fig, and Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White scraps and cut them out with the matching Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I also cut some Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock leaves using one of the Sweet Cake Framelits. I added the flowers and leaves using Glue Dots to form the wreath. Seriously. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
I hope I’ve inspired you with my spring time creations. Please use the links below to continue onto the blog hop and say hello to Tanya and Amber as you travel around the hop!
