#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations Sometimes when I’m perusing Pinterest or SplitCoastStampers or as I’m hopping along a blog hop, I come upon someone’s creation that just takes my breath away. Today’s card is inspired by Angela Meiritz-Reid, a stamper in New Zealand. She posted this card for the Ink & Inspiration blog hop and I just fell in love with it!
Those sweet hearts, those colors, that special touch of matching sequins, the clean and simple design–all those element sing to me and inspired me to make a similar card.
Just like Angela, I stamped the striped heart from the “Heart Happiness” stamp set in Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and Berry Burst onto Whisper White Card Stock. I cut each of these out with a square Stitched Framelit Die.
Angela used the cute Tutti-Frutti Notecards that you can get for FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration, but I don’t have them yet, so I took a 3-3/4″ by 5″ piece of Pool Party Card Stock and embossed it with the Sparkle Embossing Folder. I adhered this onto a 3-7/8″ by 5-1/8″ Basic Black Card Stock mat–I like to have just a little bit of black on a card. I wrapped a length of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around before adhering the assembly to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise.
Next, I adhered the hearts to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the matching Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequin to each heart–just like Angela did!
Finally, I stamped “happy birthday” from the “Fruit Basket” stamp set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a Whisper White Scrap and cut it out with the Classic Label Punch. I snipped off the “to you!” from this sentiment and adhered it to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank you, Angela, for such an inspiring card!!!

Hi Kathy thanks so much for the shout out, you are very kind. I love your version of my card, especially how you've substituted products you don't have – I do exactly the same! Thanks again Angela x
