#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations I live about 20 minutes outside of Baltimore and there’s a hot dog joint on the southeast side of town that’s locally famous. Ann’s Dari-Cream has been in business for for 66 years! The most amazing thing about this little joint is that it’s always crowded, but the staff can mow through a line taking orders and cooking up the food like nobody’s business. And you’d better be ready with your order (hon), or they’ll move on to the person in line behind you. They NEVER write down an order and they ALWAYS get it right. My favorite thing to get at Ann’s is the cherry milkshake–it’s made with vanilla ice cream and about a pound of maraschino cherries. Yum! Today’s card–and the title of my post–got me jonesing for some Ann’s Dari-Cream. Plus with the temperatures about to hit 80 tomorrow (yes–in February!), I might just make the trip!!
Today’s card is another that we made at our Proverbial Stampers get-together in January. I think it’s so cute–and very easy to reproduce. I especially like that the bowl of ice cream is sitting on one of the pretty Lace Doilies from the Occasions catalog. Here’s how we put it together.
First, we stamped the sentiment from the “Cool Treats” stamp set in Watermelon Wonder onto a 3-3/4″ by 5″ Whisper White panel. We adhered this to a 3-7/8″ by 5-1/8″ Watermelon Wonder mat and then onto a Pool Party Card Stock Card Base.
We adhered a Lace Doily to the card and topped it with a Crumb Cake Card Stock circle that we punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. We used the Frozen Treats Framelits to make the sundae elements–the bowl is Early Espresso; the three scoops of ice cream are Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, and Pool Party; the chocolate sauce is Early Espresso; and the spoon is Whisper White. Those die cut elements are totes adorbs, aren’t they?! And the cherry on top is stamped in Real Red and Cucumber Crush and cut out with its own teeny weeny framelit (that’s really easy to lose; ask me how I know!). All the elements, except the ice cream scoops, are adhered directly to the card. The ice cream scoops are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adorable! And now I’m off to find me a frozen treat to eat!
