#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations Well, I’ll be horn-swaggled–as my mother-in-law would say. I didn’t realize how awesome the “Birthday Bright” stamp set is until we used it to create cards at my upline’s Occasions catalog get–together. As I mentioned previously, that set is easy to miss if you skip past the Birthday Bright Project Kit. Don’t skip by the project kit or the stamp set! The kit has supplies enough to make 12 awesome cards PLUS you get a super cute storage box (which is cuter IRL than on the catalog page). And the stamp set can be used for a variety of cards…like the one I’m sharing today!
For this card, we started with a 3-3/4″ by 5″ piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock. We stamped the scalloped design in Crumb Cake Ink across the bottom. PRO TIP: It doesn’t have to align perfectly because the rest of the elements will cover the edges where the two images meet up.
Next, we stamped the shaded “happy” in Watermelon Wonder onto a circle of Whisper White cut with one of the Layering Circles Framelits Dies, and added some Pool Party dots. We adhered this piece to a scalloped Pool Party circle, cut with the same framelits. Then we stamped the banner in Crumb Cake onto a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Duet Banner punch. We added the “birthday” sentiment in Pool Party and adhered the banner to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
We used the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end of a 1-1/2″ strip of Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper and the end of a 1″ strip of another piece of Tasty Treats DSP. And we snipped the end of a length of Burlap Ribbon. We adhered these three pieces to the stamped Crumb Cake Mat.
We added a Lace Doily to the card and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped circle element to the card. The Crumb Cake Mat is adhered to Crumb Cake card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals, as well.
Easy-peasy and so cute! Don’t miss out on this versatile stamp set and pick up the Birthday Bright Project Kit while you’re at it! Purchasing the project kit and stamp set will get you almost to the $50 total needed for a free Sale-a-Bration item! Just throw in a pack of Stampin’ Dimensionals and you’re there!
