#stampinup The new “Marquee Messages” stamp set isn’t just for cards. It makes a great element for scrapbook pages too! I stamped the main image in Dapper Denim onto Crushed Curry card stock and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips Scissors. The “so proud of you!” sentiment is also from the “Marquee Messages” set. I added some gold accents to the image with the Wink of Stella Gold Glitter Brush. I also used the Gold Wink of Stella to flick some gold onto the Rich Razzleberry scrapbook page–I even squeezed the tube so that I could get some gold blobs, too.
Next, I stamped some words that describe my son (happy, carefree, wild & crazy) from the “Thoughtful Banners” set in Dapper Denim onto Crushed Curry scraps and fussy cut them as well.
I mounted 4″x5″ pictures of my son onto 4.25″ x 5.25″ Basic Black mats and added these to 4.25″ x 5.25″ Dapper Denim mats, placed onto the background at an angle. For one picture, I added some Gold Metallic Thread and for the other I flagged a 1″ piece of Gold Foil Sheet with the Banner Triple Punch.
Since I haven’t gotten all my NEW Stampin’ Up supplies, I had to improvise and make my own “washi tape.” I cut a 5/8″ strip of paper from the Playful Pallet Designer Series Paper Stack and added it to the design for some interest and texture.
Here’s a detail of the page so you can see some of the gold spatter (and admire my gorgeous son). I really am so proud of him!!
