When I was in high school, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I loved a band called Earth, Wind, and Fire. One of my favorite EWF songs is “You’re a Shining Star.” This card reminds me of that song.

I cut a star using the Star Framelits collection into a panel of Basic Black that I’d embossed with the Decorative Dots folder. I put a piece of Gold Foil behind the negative star image. I added a punched gold star to the sentiment. When I was almost finished, I thought the card needed a little something else, so I added a strand of gold sequin trim.
Love this card, and I can SO relate! I was in high school at the same time and loved EWF, too!
