This week’s sketch at the Freshly Made Sketches challenge is simple enough…and sometimes that gives me trouble. Thankfully, the design team had some wonderful cards for inspiration–along with inspiring entries into the challenge!
I made a panel using the Painted Petals stamp set that I borrowed from one of my downlines. I turned out great–until I got a smudge of that “devil color” Blackberry Bliss on it. So I grabbed my trusty Gorgeous Grunge set and stamped some splotches onto the image. I stamped off twice before I stamped the splotches so they wouldn’t overwhelm the image.
The scallops at the bottom of the sketch threw me for a loop for a while until I remembered the Tea Lace Paper Doilies. I think it gives a vintage touch to the card. I added a strand of the new Blackberry Bliss In-Color Thick Baker’s Twine that I earned for Free during Sale-A-Bration!
