#stampinup #imbringingbirthdaysback Shannon West, Stampin’ Up’s Training Manager, started a grass roots movement. She wanted to actually send people birthday cards and she let her Facebook friends know. About a kajillion of us PM’d Shannon with our addresses and she started sending out hand-stamped cards to ALL of us! You can read Shannon’s story here, on the Stampin’ Up blog.
Then Shannon carved her own #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp and we all squealed with joy. And then Stampin’ Up decided to make a limited quantity of these stamps. Shannon told us about it yesterday on her Facebook page. There was no other advertisement. She said the stamp would go on sale starting at midnight (MT). IT SOLD OUT IN LESS THAN 4 HOURS!!! (Ask me how I know!)
Well, Stampin’ Up is the most wonderful company in the universe–and they heard us loud and clear and they’re going to put the stamp into full production. Watch this cute video announcement and see how excited Shannon is.
Here’s a quick update on the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp.
(Hint: it’s good news!)

Other folks have picked up on the movement. One of my favorite stampers is Mindy Backes and she’s joined the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement. I received this awesomely cute card from Mindy the other day. It’s so cute that I had to share it with you!!
Mindy stamped the cake from the “Party Wishes” stamp set in Crushed Curry onto Whisper White. She stamped the funniest sentiment right on the cake in Melon Mambo and she added a row of Mint Macaron candles. She cut out the image with one of the Deco Labels Framelits.
Mindy added three strips of It’s My Party Designer Washi Tape to a Whisper White Thick Card Stock card base (cut lengthwise). Then she adhered the deco label to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This would be a great card to mass produce–especially if you’re bringing birthdays back!
Guess what! I’m also bringing birthdays back! If you’d like to receive a birthday card from me, click on the “contact me” tab at the top and then click on my email address. Be sure to include your birth date (no year, of course)!
