#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #saleabration2017 This week I’ve been showing you the versatility of the Sale-a-Bration set, “Avant Garden.” We’ve already seen a bright, clean and simple card and a card that uses a soft and subtle color palette. Today I have another way to use this stamp set–two-toned Basic Black and Very Vanilla.
I received this card at a swap at the Proverbial Stampers group meeting. It was made by Dori Schnedier and it’s simply gorgeous.
Dori used the stem of lily-like flowers from the “Avant Garden” stamp set for the main image. She stamped this image in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a 2-3/4″ by 4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. She also stamped the sentiment in Basic Black. She adhered the stamped piece to a 3″ by 4-1/4″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock.
Next, Dori performed a genius move! She used just the head of the lily image and stamped a Basic Black frame around the perimeter of a 3-7/8″ by 5″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. Look how gorgeous this is!! She adhered this to a 4″ by 5-1/8″ piece of Basic Black Card Stock and then onto a Very Vanilla card base.
Dori adhered the stamped image to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added three small Rhinestone Embellishments to finish the card. I’m obsessed with this card! It’s truly a work of art!
