#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations If you’ve been following my blog (and I hope you have!) you’ll see that I’ve already shared a sneak peek of the “Rooted in Nature” stamp set. You’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the coming weeks because it’s one of the sets I got to work with when I was chosen as a display stamper for one of Stampin’ Up’s OnStage events. Today’s card is one of our make-and-take cards from that event and it’s a stunner!!
We started by stamping the tree rings in Soft Suede Ink onto a 4″ Very Vanilla Card Stock square. Then we stamped the larger leaf stamp in Tranquil Tide, twice, onto a Mint Macaron Card Stock piece and cut it out with the matching Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies. Then we stamped the smaller leaf in Grapefruit Grove Ink, twice, onto a Grapefruit Grove piece and cut it out with the matching framelit. You
can purchase the “Rooted in Nature” stamp set and framelits together in
a bundle and save 10% off the price of purchasing them separately–and
you’ll want to do so, I know!
To build the card, we started with a Soft Suede Card Stock card base onto which we adhered a 4″ by 5″ piece of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper. We adhered a 3/4″ strip of striped Nature’s Poem DSP and a 1/2″ strip of Grapefruit Grove Card Stock–both with flagged ends–atop the stamped tree rings. We adhered the cut out leaves directly to the panel with Snail Adhesive and used Glue Dots to adhere two of the beautiful copper Leaves Trinkets.
Next, we stamped a sentiment from the “Rooted in Nature” stamp set in Rich Razzleberry Ink onto a 1″ by 3″ Whisper White piece and adhered this to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We wrapped a length of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine around this element and then adhered it directly to the card.
Isn’t this stunning? Be sure to put this suite on your wish list!
