#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,” so starts Dickens’ classic novel A Tale of Two Cities. This time of year always reminds me of that quote. It’s the worst of times because some of my favorite Stampin’ Up stamp sets, papers, accessories, and In Colors are retiring. And it’s the best of times because the NEW catalog is about to debut with all kinds of NEW products!
Today’s card features products from the Occasions Catalog. You can still get these products through the end of May, so if you love the Needlepoint Nook Suite of products on pages 38 and 39, click on the “shop now” button over there on the right and put them on your order! Look at this sweet card!
I started by stamping the flower image from the “Needle & Thread” stamp set (retiring) in Berry Burst Ink (retiring) onto a 3″ by 3-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock. The leaves and sentiment are stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink. I adhered this piece to a 3-1/4″ by 3-1/2″ Mossy Meadow Card Stock mat.
Next, I embossed a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Berry Burst Card Stock (retiring) panel with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder (retiring) and adhered this directly to a Berry Burst Card Stock card base, cut lengthwise. I adhered the stamped assembly to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I stamped another flower in Berry Burst Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with the matching Needlepoint Elements Framelits (retiring) and adhered it to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I placed a large Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the flower. Finally, I tied a 3″ length of Berry Burst Metallic Ribbon (retiring) in a knot and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.
Remember, you can still get everything I used to make this card until June 3rd–but only while supplies last. The “Needle & Thread” stamp set and Needlepoint Elements Framelits come in a bundle (item 150626) which saves you 10% off purchasing them separately. And don’t forget to complete the bundle with either the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, or Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons, or Old Olive Linen Thread–or all of it!! I’ve linked all the products below for your shopping convenience!
