#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #ProtipTuesday The Come Sail Away Suite has so many fun products–from the “Sailing Home” stamp set to the Smooth Sailing Dies to the gorgeous Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper–I’m in love with it all! Stampin’ Up’s product coordination makes it easy to create cards and scrapbook pages. If you love this suite you can purchase just about everything in it with one item code (152175). See pages 144-146 to see all the goodies.
Today, I made a collage out of stamped and die cut images. I had fun arranging the pieces on the card. You can hardly go wrong! I stamped the lighthouse in Night of Navy Ink onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and cut it out with the matching Smooth Sailing Die. I stamped the anchor in Soft Suede Ink onto Soft Suede Card Stock and cut it out with its matching die. I stamped a sentiment in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and cut it out with the stitched label die. I also cut a Very Vanilla Stitched Nestled Label and I stamped the compass rose directly onto it in Night of Navy. I cut the ship’s wheel from Sahara Sand Card Stock. Here’s how it looks, all assembled.
Did you notice the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine? I tied that directly onto the label.
For the background, I adhered a 3-3/4″ by 5″ piece of striped Come Sail Away DSP to a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Night of Navy Card Stock panel, and then onto a Balmy Blue Card Stock card base.
Were you looking for the Tuesday Protip? Well, I used tons of Stampin’ Dimensionals to build my collage. In fact, I nearly ran out of them on this sheet.
But wait! There are still some on there! I use every last bit of my Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the hexagons into individual dimensionals and I save the sides for adhering odd-shaped pieces. Look!
Another supply-conserving Protip! You’re welcome!
Tomorrow I’ll be playing in a blog challenge. Come back and see what I’ve made!
And now a word from our sponsor. Stampin’ Up has TWO amazing promotions going on right now. The first is July Bonus Days: for every $50 you spend before July 31 (before shipping and tax), you will earn a $5 Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31. How cool is that?
The second promotion gives you Extra, Extra
Stampin’ Up merchandise when you join my team during July or August.
The cost of the new demonstrator starter kit is $99–but from now until August 31, new demonstrators will receive an additional $30–which means you can put $155 of any Stampin’
Up merch you’d like in your new demonstrator starter kit. And the month
after you sign up, you’ll receive a $10 coupon code to spend the
following month.
