#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #challengeWednesday #FabFri183 It’s been a long time since I’ve played along with a stamping challenge. I think it’s about time to play again. Stamping challenges are a great way to boost your creativity. They usually feature a card sketch, or a color combination, or a theme. You can choose to follow the “prompt” precisely, or you can put your own spin on it. Either way, a stamping challenge helps you get out of a creative slump.
This week I’m playing along in the Fab Friday challenge blog (my fave!) and it’s a sketch challenge!
I wanted to do a quick card since I’m always in a hurry, and one of my go-to choices for a quick card is to let the designer series paper be the star of the show. I used a beautiful, water colored piece of the Peaceful Poppies DSP. I cut this piece to 3-3/4″ by 5″ and adhered it to a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Poppy Parade Card Stock mat. I used another 1″ by 3-4/5″ piece of striped Old Olive Peaceful Poppies DSP across the center. Then I added a length of Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the center and adhered everything to an Old Olive Card Stock card base.
Stamped a sentiment from the “Peaceful Moments” stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut it out with one of the Painted Labels Dies. I also cut a swirly circle from Old Olive Card Stock with another of the dies in this set. I adhered the circle directly to the card and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the stamped label on top.
To finish the card I added three Soft Sea Foam Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins…’cause you’ve always gotta have a little bling, right?

Oh, Kathy, what a lovely way to use these shapes in our sketch! Simple and gorgeous, and love those sequins with it as well! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
