#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations #Fabulous Friday How’s your week been going? I’ll bet you’re looking forward to the weekend. I know I am! Here’s a fabulously peaceful card for you to enjoy as you ease into relaxation. Our guest artist today is Lori Crise.
I received this card from Lori at the Proverbial Stampers & Friends gathering last month and it really is fabulous in every way. Lori stamped one of the birds from the “Free As A Bird” stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White Card Stock. She also stamped the “hello” sentiment from the “Good Morning Magnolia” stamp set in Tuxedo Black. Lori cut out the image with a square Stitched Shapes Die and then she colored it with Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Calypso Coral, and Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. I love how Lori turned the basic bird into a Yellow Goldfinch. So clever!
Lori cut another square of Crumb Cake Card Stock with a Stitched Shape Die and adhered the stamped image on top. Next, she embossed a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Whisper White Card Stock panel with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing folder. She adhered this directly to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base. She tousled a bit of Gold Metallic Thread (retired) and adhered it to the back of the bird image. She adhered this directly to the card.
Next, Lori stamped two branches from the “Free as a Bird” set in Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White. She colored them with Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut them. She adhered these directly to the card.
Lori also stamped one of the flowers from the stamp set in Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White. She colored the flower with Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut the flower. She adhered the flower to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. For a fabulous finishing touch, Lori added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the flower and colored it with a Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend!
I hope your weekend is peaceful and relaxing! Come on back on Monday and see what I have in store for you!
