#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations I never want to have to send sympathy cards, but when there is a need for one, I want to send a beautiful card with a heartfelt note inside. For this reason, I participated in a sympathy card swap at Stampin’ Up’s OnStage Live event in November. I received so many beautifully made cards in this swap…just like today’s card. The designer is Sandy Nitschke and her card is stunning!
Sandy stamped the sprig of leaves from the “Petal Palette” stamp set, twice, in Versamark onto a 2″ by 5-1/2″ Soft Sea Foam Card Stock panel. She sprinkled on Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with a Heat Tool. She adhered this to a 2-1/2″ by 5-1/2″ Crumb Cake mat. Look how gorgeous this is!
Next, Sandy embossed a 3-3/4″ by 5-1/2″ Whisper White mat with the Subtle Embossing folder. She adhered this to a Soft Sea Foam Card Stock card base, and then adhered the stamped image to the card.
She cut a sprig of leaves from Vellum Card Stock using one of the Petals and More Thinlits. She adhered just the bottom of the sprig to the card with a Glue Dot. Sandy then stamped a sentiment from the “Better Together” stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink onto Soft Sea Foam Card Stock and cut it out with a the banner framelit from the Petals and More Thinlits. She used the same framelit to cut another of the same banner from Crumb Cake Card Stock. Sandy cut the Crumb Cake banner in half and adhered the Soft Sea Foam banner to the top. She adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. She finished the card by adding two Gold Metallic Pearls.
This card is simply elegant! Thanks for the beautiful card, Sandy!
