I’m super excited to show you a new (to me) technique using Stampin’ Blends as part of the Creation Station Perfectly Blended blog hop. I have to tell you that I always say, “I don’t like to color.” And I don’t. I’m never satisfied with the outcome with crayons, markers, or colored pencils. BUT when Stampin’ Up introduced Stampin’ Blends, I changed my tune! I LOVE to color with Stampin’ Blends!
For the Creation Station blog hops, I like to do something a little different–I mean, several of our design team members are current or former Stampin’ Up Artisans and they always knock my socks off! This time I’m using two sets of Stampin’ Blends to create an ombre effect. This technique is easy-peasy, but oh so pretty! Let’s take a look at my creation and then I’ll show you how it’s done.
I wanted to create some Black-Eyed Susans because they bloom in late summer/early fall here on the East Coast of Maryland–and they’re the Maryland state flower! To create the ombre effect, I choose two analogous colors: Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
Here’s a video to show you how quick and easy this perfectly blended technique is.
I hope you’ll try this technique because, as I always say, “If I can do it, so can you!”
Next up on our hop is Rachel Traudt at the wonderfully named blog “Naptime Is Stamp Time.” And please keep hopping round to all the blogs. I know the design team members’ creations will inspire and delight you!
