Scrappy Birthday

Do you need to make a card in a hurry? Why don’t you try this scrappy birthday card? I set out to make a birthday card using Stampin’ Up’s Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper and I realized that I had a pile of scraps that I could use to make a card!

When the DSP is the star of the show, it’s really easy to make a scrappy birthday card. For this card, I adhered three 1″ by 4″ strips of the Wildflower Birthday DSP to a 3″ by 4″ Basic White Card Stock panel. Then I adhered that to a 3-3/4″ by 5″ Soft Sea Foam Card Stock panel, wrapped a length of 1/4″ White Ribbon around and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the front of the Pretty in Pink Card Stock card base.

I found a scrap of Basic White Card Stock onto which I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Celebration stamp set in Pretty In Pink Ink and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I tied another short length of the White Ribbon onto the previous piece for an easy knot. I finished my scrappy birthday card by adhering three Soft Sea Foam Party Dots.

This scrappy birthday card took 5 minutes (or less) to make and it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself! Hold onto those scraps–you never know when you might need them for a quick card!
