This week's code word at the Addicted to Clean and Simple challenge is "distress." There was a time that just about everything I created used distressing techniques. I haven't done much of that lately, so I was thrilled to pull out some of my old tricks. When I use the distress technique, I like ... Read More about ATCAS Friend

Nacho Color Challenge Birthday

When I first saw the color combo on this week's Nacho Average Challenge blog, I thought that I couldn't come up with anything. These colors just weren't calling to me. But I persevered and thought outside my comfortable box. I started with a Tangelo Twist card base and added a Basic Gray panel. ... Read More about Nacho Color Challenge Birthday

Sweet Pastel Birthday

I had something else in mind when I started this card. I was designing it in my head all day long. When I got home I reviewed the sketch at the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge blog, I saw those three little dots/elements and realized my design didn't quite meet the mark. No problem--I can ... Oh my goodness, the little animals in the "Cheerful Critters" photopolymer set are adorable!! I had to have them. And they're so fun to color. I've got a confession: I made a mistake on this. I colored the little chicken with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities. Then I tried to add some ... Read More about Way to Go, Chickadee!

This week at the Creation Station we're featuring the new Occasions set "Sheltering Tree" and the Sale-A-Bration Irresistibly Yours DSP.  Our theme is spritzing technique. Well, I don't own that stamp set and my DSP isn't coming until the end of the week. So, I'm going to go with the spritzing ... Read More about Creation Station: Putting on the Spritz

A Retro Birthday

Sometimes I have an idea and it works out beautifully and other times, not so much. The sketch at the Retro Sketches challenge blog looks simple enough--and the design team made some lovely cards. But my idea just didn't work out...twice! I finally changed tactics--new colors, new accessories, ... Read More about A Retro Birthday

Meet Kathy

Hi and welcome to my online studio! Even though I recently retired from a fulfilling career, I’m super busy being a wife and mom (3 kids, 4 cats) and teaching a ladies’ Bible class, I still make time to be creative in my stamping studio. I’ve been a Stampin' Up demonstrator since 2006 because I love their products and I enjoy sharing my love of stamping with others. Feel free to contact me—I’d love to hear from you!
