Retiring Critters

May 13, 2015

This week's challenge at the Fab Friday challenge blog is to use the 2013-2015 In Colors that are going to retire in just a few short weeks. I'm going to miss these colors. I love the soft pastels and how they coordinate so well with each other. We've had a good run and I guess it's almost time to ... Read More about Retiring Critters

Cute Baby Gift Card Holders

The codeword at the Addicted to Clean and Simple challenge is CUTE and what cuter stamp set is there than "Cheerful Critters"? I thought I could use the set to make some really cute baby gift card holders. I made one for a boy and one for a girl. I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the ... Black-Eyed Susans

I interpreted this week's CAS(E) This Sketch quite literally. I liked the idea of a bright flower bursting out of a square. It's what I imagine the flowers in my yard are thinking about doing--bursting out of the ground. But I also imagine those flowers poking their tender little heads out of the ... Hooray for Cheerful Critters

I've been playing with my Blendabilities lately--trying to get the hang of them. You see, I don't like to color. I know that's hard to believe for someone who stamps, but it's true. I'm never satisfied with the way my color looks--not with markers or even crayons. I guess I'm my own worst ... Read More about Hooray for Cheerful Critters

Since I had out the "Cheerful Critters" set and all my Blendabilities, I thought I'd go ahead and make another card. I stamped the bunny in Memento Tuxedo Black in the corner of a Whisper White panel. I colored it with Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities. The little bunny kept getting ... Oh my goodness, the little animals in the "Cheerful Critters" photopolymer set are adorable!! I had to have them. And they're so fun to color. I've got a confession: I made a mistake on this. I colored the little chicken with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities. Then I tried to add some ... Read More about Way to Go, Chickadee!

Meet Kathy

Hi and welcome to my online studio! Even though I recently retired from a fulfilling career, I’m super busy being a wife and mom (3 kids, 4 cats) and teaching a ladies’ Bible class, I still make time to be creative in my stamping studio. I’ve been a Stampin' Up demonstrator since 2006 because I love their products and I enjoy sharing my love of stamping with others. Feel free to contact me—I’d love to hear from you!
