#stampinup #faithfulinkspirations I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of July! This month has flown by! I hope you don’t run out of time to take advantage of Stampin’ Up’s two awesome promotions in July. All the details are at the end of this blog. These are great deals and I don’t want you to miss out. If your Stampin’ Up wish list is $100 (or more), it would be smart of you to join my team as a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. Not only will you get $125 in Stampin’ Up product of your choice for $99, but up until 11:59 PM (MT) on July 31, if you sign up you’ll get an entire color family of stamp pads for FREE! That’s 10 stamp pads of beautiful inks! This is a deal you shouldn’t pass up!! And, as a demonstrator, you’ll get 20% off your own orders for the next three months–even if you choose to drop right away. It’s a no-strings-attached deal! Contact me today before the time runs out.
And now on to our regularly scheduled program: Christmas Fridays in July!!
Today’s card was inspired by a card made by Stampin’ Up Artisan emeritus, Chantel de Kaste, from the Netherlands. I started by embossing a 4″ by 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock with the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder. I adhered this to a Thick Whisper White Card Stock card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next, I cut a 2-1/4″ square of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and adhered it directly to the card. Then, I used the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits set to cut a square of Whisper White Card Stock and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere this to the card. I used the 2″ Circle Punch to punch a bit of Shaded Spruce Card Stock and adhered that to the stitched square piece. NOTE: It’s offset from the center of the square…on purpose!
I cut a 1/2″ strip of another piece of Under the Mistletoe DSP and adhered that across the stitched square piece. I stamped a greeting from the “Cookie Cutter Christmas” stamp set in Early Espresso Ink onto a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White and flagged the end with my Paper Snips and adhered this to the card. I cut a bit of Leaf Trim and adhered this to the card, too.
Next, I stamped the deer from “Cookie Cutter Christmas” in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. I colored him with Light & Dark Crumb Cake and Light & Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I punched him out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. I added the deer to the card with a combination of regular and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I added some Gold Faceted Gems and some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bling. Isn’t this a fun card?! We’ll be making this card in an upcoming Christmas card stamp-a-stack session. There’s still time to sign up, so contact me to reserve a spot. If you’re not local to me, ask about a long distance option.
