Sometimes when I browse through the Stampin’ Up catalog and pick out my favorite stamp sets, I miss a few that are “sleepers.” The Bird’s Eye View set is one of those that I missed on my first few passes. And shame on me because that set is the cutest of cute sets! Pair it with sentiments from the Charming Sentiments and you’ve really got something! Look at this adorable bird!
This card was so easy to make! I used a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Basic Black mat to make the Neutral Designer Series Paper pop! And here’s a PROTIP: Cut the black shadow from the center of the mat using one of the Nested Essentials Dies before adhering the mat to the card and then adhere it a 3-3/4″ by 5″ piece of the Neutral DSP on top and no one is the wiser!
I used the same Nested Essentials Die to cut a piece of Basic White and stamped the images from Bird’s Eye View in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the bird and his stack of books. You can see the list in the thumbnails below.
I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Tuxedo Black onto another piece of Basic White and cut it with a smaller Nested Essentials Die.
