I’m in full Christmas card production mode! I usually make about 100 cards, so I need to start early. It helps that I run Christmas card stamp-a-stack sessions in August, September, October, and November. I create three designs for each session and we make four of each design. I double that for myself, so I make 24 cards each month! Today’s card is called Greenery Greetings because it’s a mash-up of two stamp set and die bundles available as Online Exclusives: Greetings of the Season and Golden Greenery.
This Greenery Greetings card is a fun fold card because the slim center of the card is all that opens! It was so easy to make and I love the surprise opening! The base of the card is a quarter sheet (4-1/4″ by 5-1/2″) of Very Vanilla Card Stock. Adhere two 1″ by 5-1/4″ strips of Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper to each side, leaving an 1/8″ border.
For the center surprise piece, I cut Very Vanilla Card Stock to 2-1/2″ by 11″ and score at 5-1/2″. I adhered this to the card front, aligning the fold with the top of the card base. Then I used the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a 2-5/8″ by 5-3/8″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and adhered it to the front flap.
I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink and cut it out with one of the Greetings of the Seasons Dies. It’s adhered to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also stamped one of the greenery pieces from the Golden Greenery stamp set in Mossy Meadow and cut it out with the matching die. I adhered this to the front flap with Dimensionals, too. To finish the card, I tied a knot in a length of Very Vanilla 3/4″ Satin Ribbon and adhered this to the top of the greenery piece with a Mini Glue Dot. The bling comes from three Earth Tone Shimmer Gems that are part of the Nests of Winter Suite.
