Whew! It’s been a hectic few months here in Kathy’s Stampin’ Studio. We did a major renovation to our upper floor. We remodeled both of our twins’ bathrooms. Then we replaced the flooring in their rooms, my studio, and the hallway. Do you know how to prepare for that? EVERYTHING except the larger furniture pieces had to be off the floors and so it was all moved into our master bedroom. Here’s the horror we lived with for about a month. (Bonus points if you can spot two cats!)
And then we had all the rooms painted. The process was painful, but the results are lovely! I wish I’d remembered to take a before picture of my studio–with the 25-year-old yellow paint and Peter Rabbit border (it used to be the twins’ nursery). Here’s the a reasonable representative.
Before I moved back in, I got rid of a LOT of stuff that I didn’t need (thank you Facebook Buy Nothing Group!) and I replaced the brown/tan bookshelves with white and sage colored cabinets. The walls are soft sage and so calming. And I got a pretty rug that pulls everything together. I’m still figuring out what else I can move out, so the studio is still a work in progress. But here are a few shots of the studio update!
I love my desk/stamping area! And isn’t that rug fabulous?! You can imagine that my cat Toby is so very helpful!
This is my cutting, die cutting, and embossing station.
And finally, here’s my yarn cabinet–it’s so pretty and it displays my yarns nicely, but the main reason I got it is to keep my yarn away from my cats. IYKYK!
I love how neat my studio is and I’ve made a pledge to myself to keep it this way…we’ll see how it goes!
What do you think of my studio refresh? I’d love to hear from you!
