Yesterday I showed you one of the cards I made with the Humble Home bundle for my inspiration station at a Connect & Create event for Stampin’ Up demonstrators. Today, I’m showing another card from that presentation and it’s a little pink Christmas House!
Stampin’ Up’s Humble Home bundle doesn’t have a coordinating designer series paper, so I used a variety of DSPs for my projects. (Stay tuned for more inspiring Humble Home projects!) This card uses the super cute Snowy Scenes DSP. I used the sheet with the large snow globes and took my inspiration from two of the DSP colors: Petal Pink and Pool Party.
I started with a Petal Pink Card Stock card base. I embossed a 3-7/8″ by 5-1/8″ piece of Pool Party Card Stock with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and adhered this to a 4″ by 5-1/4″ Basic White Card Stock mat. I cut a piece of the Snowy Scenes DSP and adhered this directly to the card front.
Then the fun started because I was about to create my little pink Christmas house! I stamped one of the house images from the Humble Home stamp set in Memento Basic Black Ink onto Basic White Card Stock. I colored this with Petal Pink and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. Such sweet colors! I punched out the house with the Humble Home Builder Punch and adhered it inside the Snow Globe using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the tag, I used one of the dies from the Greetings of the Season Dies to cut a Basic White scrap. I stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Humble Home set in Pool Party onto this label and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I tied a bow with Iridescent Striped Trim and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I added three Petal Pink Blooming Pearls. I think this little pink Christmas house is so sweet!
