Sometimes I like to make simple cards because they’re quick and are just as pretty as some of the elaborate cards I make. They’re also good to add to the mix of a stamp-a-stack session, when my guests and I are creating cards in an assembly line fashion. This Love & Joy at Christmas card was just the ticket for pretty and simple!
We started by stamping the “Love & Joy” sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto a Basic White scrap and cutting it out with on of the dies from the bundle.
Next, we added a 3″ by 3″ square of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock to a 3-3/8″ by 4-5/8″ Basic Beige Card Stock mat. Then we adhered a 3″ by 2″ piece of plaid Iconic Celebrations DSP to the bottom of the Basic Beige mat. We wrapped a length of Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon across the front of this piece, covering the seam between the Cherry Cobbler and DSP and tacking it to the back of the Basic Beige mat. We used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere this a Mossy Meadow Card Stock card base.
Each stamper got a variety of Season of Green and Gold DSP pieces to fussy cut and adhere to the top of the tag. We finished our Love & Joy at Christmas cards but adding Gold Textured Dots. Quick, easy, and oh so pretty!
I’ve made a YouTube video showing how to assemble four cards from my November Christmas card stamp-a-stack, including this one. Please watch and subscribe!
